This is Prapti, one of the students from Humber’s Visual Arts and Digital Animation Diploma program. What caught my eye about her outfit was the mismatched elements, as she was breaking norms of fashion & style, and it was refreshing! It was very enlightening to hear about what fashion means to her.
Outfit Statement:
“For me, an outfit is what I am feeling that day. It seemed like a good day to wear a skirt which I paired with my sweatshirt and combat boots. I am all about being comfortable and still be able to express myself through my outfits.”
Inspiration:
“My inspiration doesn’t come from the famous celebrities or what they are wearing, but from what people are wearing in my city, on streets or on the subway.”
How I see fashion:
“Like I said, for me, fashion is all about being able to express myself. Since I am always creating art, it plays a huge role in deciding what I wear. ”
Favourite style:
“I would describe my favorite style as casual and elegant”
