Fashion Students Rebrand Alumni Entrepreneur’s Clean Beauty Instagram

It’s the beginning of the winter semester and you’re sitting in class wondering what this semester holds. With the near future in mind, your inner voice says, “I want more hands-on fashion experience, so I can land that stellar Internship!” Then, like a fairy-godmother enters Professor Anne Cramer.

Anne cheerfully introduces us to our Fashion in Action Project – a digital marketing project, where we’re tasked to meet the business marketing needs of one of several fashion entrepreneurs. Even more cool is how these entrepreneurs are alumni from Humber’s Fashion Management program!

So, what happened next? We enthusiastically formed our content creation team geared towards meeting Talia Shiff’s digital marketing needs. Talia is the founder of Coveted Market, a refreshing online one-stop shop for natural & organic beauty products. As fashion students, we’re mindful of responsible consumer choices, whether it be choosing to wear vintage to offset fast-fashion or opting for clean beauty products over the harsh chemicals of mainstream products. Since the Coveted Market content creation team admires Talia’s tenacity in empowering consumers to use clean beauty products, we drove right into this project.

Assigned with the task of delivering Talia an image library for her brand, we familiarized ourselves with her brand & identified potential re-branding opportunities. We also wrote a proposal and reached out to Talia about her current branding strategy.

It’s evident that we’re genuinely driven to help Coveted Market become the top trending clean beauty blog. In fact, one of our content creators was so gung-ho about capturing the brand’s aesthetic, that she quickly put togeher a mood board for Talia to review. Showing everything from sandstone, peachy, coral colours, to the earthy sage green hues of lily pads resting in the calm waters of a pond. By simply describing this mood board, doesn’t that make you picture yourself unwinding with your self-care routine? Where you feel oh-so-very 2020 and current by using organic products?

That’s exactly what we want for Coveted Market: for there to be a cool factor & enhanced chicness to the green sensibility of this online marketplace.

As we work away on this project, we’re eager to see how this project unfolds and how we can help Coveted Market stand apart from its competitors with a recognizable brand image.
