I hope you have all had a beautiful week enjoying the glistening snowy streets. Our second Style of the Week article takes a wider outlook on street style.
This is Tess, one of the fabulous students from the Fashion Management and Promotions Post Graduate program here at Humber. Last week I couldn’t help but be inspired by her outfit with the perfectly coordinated pastel pinks and rose gold accents. It was very interesting to hear from her about the style statement and her preferences that go into creating this chic look!
Outfit statement:
“I love pink and feminine clothing, with the weather being so dreary I want to light things up with my clothing. I’ve been loving the monochromatic trend so I decided to match my pants and coat.”
Inspiration:
“My main inspiration right now is Meghan Markle because she always looks elegant and also often wears one tone. My admiration for fashion comes from watching Audrey Hepburn movies as a young girl and seeing her in those beautiful Givenchy dresses.”
Why and how I see fashion:
“Fashion is an important form of personal expression that allows one to be creative on a daily basis. I love fashion for this reason because you can tell a lot about a person by the way they dress. Just like Audrey Hepburn, the epitome of elegance that shows through her style.”
Favourite style:
“I favour classic pieces with a feminine touch and I also admire the French effortless chic look. Anything pink or with a bit of sparkle is always a must have too!”
