We have all heard the words sustainable and beauty. But do we really know what they mean? Can they be combined?
As part of the Fashion In Action project, Fashion Management Postgraduate students at Humber College have teamed up with Coveted Market to introduce a new version of the concept green chicness. The online store and the students have been working for the past weeks to come up with new ways to communicate how to combine the terms clean and beauty.
After the team developed a moodboard with images to have an idea about concepts and target market, a SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) analysis was completed, seeking to learn where the brand stands.
Among the strengths, one of the most important is that Coveted Market has a variety of non-toxic products that satisfy the needs of many. In terms of internal improvements, it needs to better communicate the offered value.
As an opportunity, the team identified that since most people are currently in isolation, online sales are increasing like never before, so online stores can take advantage of this. The main threat that businesses, including online, are facing is the difficulty to deliver products to consumers on agreed times, since suppliers have issues due to the Coronavirus.
To better promote their products and the concept of green chicness, the team directed a photoshoot in which Coveted Market´s products were photographed, expressing elegance, peace and green sensibility.
The idea behind the photoshoot was to engage the current social media followers and attract new ones by sending the message that clean beauty can be easily added to the daily routine; a few filler pictures were added to a folder to complement this package.
